Outstanding management and relationship-building have contributed to a culture of high workplace satisfaction at Quantum Science, according to its Scaleup Director.
Quantum Science, the expert in infrared quantum dot technology, is delighted that Innovate UK’s recent Cultural Assessment has recognised the effort it has put in to creating a positive workplace environment.
The survey, conducted as part of the Innovate UK Scaleup Programme revealed an overall satisfaction rate of 80% against a metric where 75% is classed as ‘great’.
Employees particularly praised the efforts Quantum Science has made to motivate them and build positive relationships within the team, with 84% respondents agreeing or strongly agreeing that they have effective working relations with colleagues,
The company scored particularly high on its management support, performance standards, and company goals, as well as ensuring staff understand Quantum Science’s goals for future development.
However, CEO & Founder Dr Hao Pang acknowledged that there is still room for improvement, particularly in relation to policy and procedure updates and target achievement.
Dr Pang said: “We’re beyond delighted to see these results from Innovate UK highlighting how pleased our employees are with the working conditions we have created. At Quantum Science, we have invested heavily in creating a supportive, welcoming culture, and in providing continuous professional development opportunities for our staff, and to see that these efforts have paid off is a testament to the effort we have put in.
“However, we’re not content to rest on our laurels, and going forward we will be implementing measures to push these results even higher. The feedback given in this survey by our employees and by Innovate UK has been very informative and will provide an invaluable resource as we continue to improve our workplace culture. We want to ensure that the business, being at the cutting edge of infrared quantum dot technology, is also at the cutting edge of places to work.”
