Quantum Science has been awarded a King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its work developing INFIQ® infrared quantum dot technology for scalable short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging.
The King’s Award for Enterprise is the most esteemed business award in the UK, and recognises the progress Quantum Science has made in turning a complex materials platform into a manufacturable technology with a growing patent portfolio and real commercial momentum.
INFIQ® is Quantum Science’s proprietary SWIR platform, designed to combine high performance with manufacturing compatibility. Its patented quantum dot ink system supports single-layer deposition and integration with existing CMOS production methods, helping to make SWIR sensing more practical for commercial use.
The technology could support applications such as consumer electronics, automotive systems, industrial automation and medical diagnostics, as well as defence uses.
Dr Hao Pang, Founder and CEO of Quantum Science, said: “Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation is a tremendous honour for Quantum Science. It is a proud moment for the business and a reflection of the dedication, technical expertise and persistence of our team.
“This award recognises the progress we have made in developing INFIQ® into a practical and scalable platform for SWIR imaging. We believe it will help strengthen our profile with customers, partners and investors as we continue to expand commercial adoption of the technology.”
